Some foodie finds.



Stony Brook Oils are my new favourite oils for salads dressings and summer veggies. There butternut squash seed oil is particularly delicious. Currently these oils are only avaialable in the States, but they do ship to Europe.





Ummera Smoked Salmon from West Cork is melt in the mouth delicious.  Ummera also produce smoked eel, smoked chicken, smoked duck and smoked dry cure bacon. The business has been in operation for nearly forty years and is going from strength to strength, working with only the best ingredients.



Shellfish De La Mer is one of Ireland’s top seafood provider. The business was founded in 1987 by two Cork fishermen. They are located on the south wesr coast of Ireland in Castletownbere. There main product is crab, and there is nothing like Castletownbere crab.  
My new favourite beer from a great artisan producer in Co. Waterford, Dungarvan Brewing Company.
Knockdrinna Farm in Co. Kikenny produce some highly addictive sweet and nutty cheeses.
Delicious toffee sauce (also called dulche de leche) from a small family business in Co. Offaly. I also hear they make yummy chocolate bars.
Domaines des Terres Rouges produce possibly the tastiest mustard in the world. They are worth seeking out if you are in France. They have amazing flavours such as lime, truffle,Calvados, Cognac, Pastis…..My favourite is walnut.
Just discovered this scrummy goats cheese from East Galway. Killeen farmhouse cheese is made using the families own herd of goats and the recipe is based on that of a gouda. Great value and great flavour. This cheese is available in Sheridans and a couple of other specialist outlets in the country. For more information click here.
Glebe Brethan is a wonderful Irish gruyere style cheese which certainly gives the Swiss a run for their money. Nutty, sweet and mature this cheese is  a must for your cheeseboard.  You can find out more here from their very informative website.
 Glor Peanut butter, not only tasty, but also Irish and good for you. It’s definitley one worth seeking out. More info available here.  
Murphys – The ultimate Irish ice-cream. Enough said, try it for yourself. Check out their website for available stockists.
One of the original and for me still the best Irish artisan cheese. For more info check out their website.
