The International Food Bloggers Conference is taking place in Seattle this year, and a lot of food bloggers from all over the world will be coming to Seattle. Here are just a few of my favorite things about Seattle and some tips for enjoying your weekend here in Washington.
It’s coming to the end of summer, and I can’t believe those balmy summer days are nearly over. I’m stocking up with as many great summer vegetables as I can, before the onslaught of kale and beetroot begins again 😉
I promise this is the last peachy post for a while. I just keep finding so many great uses for delicious seasonal peaches. We do have peaches back home, but they usually have to travel a few thousand miles to get to us.
Washington peaches are in season and this sticky caramel peach cake is a great way to show them off. I added some cardamom to accentuate the flavor of those sweet juicy peaches. Two weeks ago, the OH and I drove up to Lynden in Northern Washington to visit a wonderful hazelnut farm. Holmquist hazelnuts are located right beside the Canadian border -the edge of the orchard literally runs parallel to zero avenue in Canada.
