Simple and tasty food.
Late summer fruits are always sweeter as they’ve soaked up all the summer sun and are extra ripe and juicy. I always find the last few weeks of summer are always the sweetest and best too. I try to cram in as many sunny evening walks, barbecues and make as many memories before autumn arrives and the days get shorter.
I can’t say summer is here, because it’s not official until June 20th, but in my eyes summer is here! The sun is out, and the evenings are long and bright – I say let’s have a picnic! Everything tastes so much better outside in the sunshine.
In the 5 years that I have been blogging, this has been my longest break yet. A whole four months has passed since my last post, but I am finally back 🙂 In December I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy called Jack, and our life has been a wonderful whirlwind ever since.

Pavlova is one of those desserts that can be whipped up in minutes, yet always tastes like you slaved over it all day. I love them for that very reason, plus eggs are available year round and you can vary the topping with fresh seasonal fruits. I feel like this summer is flying by so speedy desserts like this are just what I need.
