Pavlova is one of those desserts that can be whipped up in minutes, yet always tastes like you slaved over it all day. I love them for that very reason, plus eggs are available year round and you can vary the topping with fresh seasonal fruits. I feel like this summer is flying by so speedy desserts like this are just what I need.
I’m back again with ‘yet another’ cherry dessert. They are so good and plentiful this summer, and I want to make the most of this bumper cherry season. This week, I made some wonderful cherry yogurt popsicles.
This salad is like summer on a plate. We recently took a visit to Lake Chelan in Eastern Washington, and it reminded me of the south of France as we drove by so many cherry orchards with glistening red cherries hanging from the trees.
Lots of things to be excited about this week- cherries are in season, plus there are beautiful peony roses blooming in the garden. It really is the small things! Living in Washington means that we are blessed with the most delicious, sun ripened, sweet and juicy cherries.
Breakfast doesn’t have to be some limp toast or soggy cornflakes. You deserve better than that! Granola, fruit and yogurt is simple, healthy and such a tasty breakfast. If you make a big batch of granola today, you will have breakfast sorted for the next month.
When I shipped off all my clothes and paraphernalia last week, I have to say I felt very liberated. I did a massive purge of stuff that was past it’s sell by date and bits that I rarely use. I was feeling very Zen and minimalist. This week, however, I began to feel a tad lost and bereft of my things.
